Walt Longmire 10,102 Posted November 25, 2020 Not some whimpy town truck either. Nope. A Super Duty. But not just the regular Super Duty. This one has the V-10. It doesn't stop there (well the one place it stops is the gas station) It's got the 6 speed manual. Of course it's a 4x4. Also an XLT FX4 Off Road. Super Cab. On board compressor and auxiliary fuel tank mounted in the bed. (gonna need that extra fuel) Has air bags in the rear suspension. A hide away 5th wheel hitch and of course a regular hitch also. Purrs like a kitten. Just rolled over 100K. Barely broke in. Came up from Ok. so no rust. No pics yet. 11
tadbart 5,577 Posted November 25, 2020 Sounds like a BEAST! You're used to the KW, so this should feel like a compact car! 2 1
kerbie18 1,246 Posted November 25, 2020 You're giving me truck envy. I'm going to need a therapist. Did I mention I go camping in a dodge caravan? Yep, I envy you, but at least my caravan is a lot cheaper.
Lazy R 732 Posted November 25, 2020 Didn't know they did any sticks with the V10. Sounds like a good combo. 1
railfancwb 9,428 Posted November 25, 2020 Is this the truck you did a 500 mile round trip to see but didn’t buy at the time?
Cougar_ml 5,613 Posted November 25, 2020 My buddy has a truck with the V10. Lower end bearing issues. Seems it was a problem with a lot of them. Hopefully you will have a lot better luck than him with it.

He'll likely call me now and offer it to me cheap now that I bought this one. It's in Anchor Point. Picking it up in a couple hours. Test drove it yesterday then made a deal over the phone last night. 1

The F150 Lariat will still be my town truck. The new one is just another toy in the stable. 3
