CB radio, Shortwave broadcasting, and pagers.

Actually while shortwave is down internationally....there is still quiet a bit of it out there.   The BBC for example still uses it.

With a bit of irony Ham Radio has more license hams at this point than ever before.  At least in the US.

The SWL market is pretty much vacated. The BBC still has a limited presence for Africa and certain Asian markets, but Radio Canada International, Israel Radio International, Radio Moscow, Radio Australia, Radio Austria, Radio Denmark, Voice of the Arabs, Radio Pakistan, and many others are no longer on HF. Even many of the private US broadcasters have sold off their transmitters.

At one time Western Electric was the eleventh largest manufacturing company in the U. S.,  it was wholly owned by AT&T.

They had a major plant in Nashville TN. At that time the coin slots on pay phones were secured by exploding rivets.

Drive in movies...

There are a few drive in movies in middle Tennessee. One with three screens is about an hour away, for example. If the movie producers go directly to streaming, as Disney has threatened, that may finish off the few drive ins and walk ins still left after the virus.
