You wonder how our kids turned into terrorists?

"Clarion discovers over $2.6 million in donations from the Palestinians to Harvard

Harvard University named Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat — who serves as secretary general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) — as a fellow at the Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs."

More facts about Erekat:

  • In 2015, Erekat compared Israel to ISIS saying, “There is no difference between the terrorism practiced by the group led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Israel’s terrorism”
  • He called Israel’s expansion of settlements “terrorism” at a time when settlements had seen nearly zero physical expansion for 25 years. In negotiations with then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Erekat admitted that the settlements took up only 1.1 percent of the areas Palestinians wanted for a state
  • Erekat denies archaeological evidence of the Jewish history in Jerusalem
  • Erekat claimed his family had lived in Israel for 9,000 years, yet evidence shows that the family comes from the Huwait region of Arabia

Harvard is a private institution, not a public college. Your citation is from a rather opinionated commentator and to whom you've incorrectly attributed that Dr. Erakat is going to be an educator. He will not be a professor at Harvard University or their College, he will be and now is a Fellow of the Center.

The Belfer Center at the Kennedy School is a think tank. The Belfer Center has over 300 experts from government and academia from all over the world who provide research, policy recommendations, etc. in public policy issues that affect the wold community. Retired Marine Corps General is a Senior Fellow, former SecDef Ashton Carter is a Professor at Harvard and the Director of the Belfer Center, Jeh Johnson [former DHS secretary] and many others are either Associates, Non-resident Fellows, Fellows, Senior Fellows, Faculty who were selected to the Center, members of the Board of DIrectors, etc. The politics of the membership span the spectrum as is fitting for a think tank.

Yes, I am a post-graduate student at Harvard, but your assertion that Dr. Erakat will be actively teaching courses at Harvard is incorrect. It is important to realize that not everyone associated with a university is a professor or a visiting lecturer.

Anything I post in "Political Issues" is for the reader to review and make up their own opinion.    The thread title is directly from the quoted link not my title.    Did find the following of interest considering the Palestinians receive considerable funding from the UN and other sources.       "The Clarion discovers over $2.6 million in donations from the Palestinians to Harvard "
