Silentpoet
Looking to build an AR. Going to get a lower this weekend probably. But I want to know what the best lower kit is. Best budget kit, fest trigger, etc.
windowasher
In the past I would go with DPMS, but I believe they have been shuttered. I just bought 2 Aero Precision lower kits from Primary Arms for 99 bucks Edited April 25, 2020 by windowasher
syntaxerrorsix
I'm partial to Armaspec enhanced LPKs.
SC Tiger
Interested as well. Bought an Anderson Manufacturing lower last weekend (well - it finally came in last weekend). Wanting to find a good, yet economical parts kit. MidwayUSA has a DPMS "customizable" lower parts kit for $25, but it doesn't include the fire control parts. Palmetto State Armory usually has good deals, but their actual brick-and-mortar stores can be disappointing.
Historian
CMMG....i had a bad experience once with a DPMS rifle and after that...moved on. I think i went with either Daniel Defense or Bravocompany on the last couple.
Moshe
I wanted a Daniel Defense pistol last go around, but I got vetoed. I did end up with a Spikes Tactical with an SB tactical brace a Magpul 60 and and MRO sight. It has the requisite MRO sight. What I am curious about, is what is a good lower to put a 6.5 Grendel on? I recently became obsessed with that round. It is somewhere between my 6.5CM and my .308. A middle of the road round that shoots flat.
SC Tiger
I used Palmetto State Armory on mine. Decent trigger. Could be better but it's a budget build. I did find that the stock that the set came with sells for $50 by itself.
Woodnickle
Can't go wrong with Anderson. You can usually find them for under $50 includes FCG.
ddbtoth
I’ve always been partial to the BCM lpk. Though I suspect that the majority of the parts come from the same source.

Lowers are have never really been an issues for me. The sensitive parts are in the upper. At least that's my experience.

You have to change barrel and bolt in the upper and mags
Valmet
I used a DPMS lower kit in a 601 build back in 2015-16 and it was fine. At this point I'm sure practically any lower kit will fit your needs at this point.
