We have lost no rights or freedoms. We are indeed suffering under a temporary inconvenience, but that will end when the virus is controlled. Sometimes our leaders go too far, and other times, not far enough. They're only human. Patience will accomplish more than conspiracy theories. I'm glad you are so forgiving of Big Brother. You may not realize it, but when you get a $500 ticket for sitting in your car in a church parking lot, or ANY parking lot, we HAVE lost freedom. When people are ordered not to buy seeds for planting, under the threat of punishment if we do, we HAVE lost freedom. I'd be interested to know what it takes to wake someone like you up. My wife would like a reprieve though. Mine too. She has felt like she needs to be with me 24/7 since the wreck. For her sake I wish she could loosen the grip a bit. I'm torn on her being clingy. I love her and know she does me, but I feel a a little guilty trying to pry loose. She did almost lose me and was the driving force in the recovery I have made. She also does what she can for both our parents. It does keep her busy.

She did almost lose me and was the driving force in the recovery I have made. She also does what she can for both our parents. It does keep her busy. I know what you mean. I have been quite independent since I was 12 years old, and now my wife keeps trying to do things for me that I think I should do for myself, just because I'm old. (She is older than me by one year) She is the opposite of me and requires reassurance often. So I do what I can to let her know she is important to me. But, I even had a nasty time in the hospital with the woman that said she was going to give me a sponge bath. I can't stand feeling like I am being waited on. I did it myself. I understand the people want to help, but it sounds like you have the same quirk, as I do, in that if I can, I prefer not to bother others and do things for myself. Being with someone is more important than being waited on by them. Good luck on improving, physical health problems do impact you when you have limited mobility but still have the desire to do stuff. Take care! Edited April 17, 2020 by janice6

Man, these last 5 years, I've been planning and investing towards a self-reliant future in a very low population density area. This virus has been an inconvenience, but has caused me to redouble my efforts. What we are doing as a society is not sustainable. Too many suckers, not enough teats. The entitlement crowd is growing teeth. I'm ready to just be left the F alone. If I'm working in my greenhouse or chicken coop, or shooting off of my back porch, I don't CARE if there's a virus in town. 2
DWARREN123
If you were prepared before this then you may improve your set up, if not a few may become more prepared but many will not, i's too much trouble. 2
holyjohnson
our Brainiac Governor here just made a single handed decision that WI will be shut down until May 26th for no real known reason. his choices for what is Essential and Non Essential has some big Question marks in it, the WI Senate is going to be looking into the Legality of Evers Decisions about what is shutdown and what is not, but also to find out how much Authority was intended for the Governor solely. especially after his Primary Fiasco, he continues the Shut down and then says he needs .Gov Money because of the extended Shutdown. these kind of forced isolation regulations only work when people have faith in the people regulating it. 1 1

I think that is a serious issue. The people who think the government should take care of you from the cradle to the grave (socialists and communists) didn't plan. They are people who think reality TV is reality in many ways. Not because they couldn't. But because they chose not to fight to stand for themselves. Mrs.Cicero
Well, as far as preps go, I was reminded that we always need more ammo, and we need to finish the basement pantry, so storage is more organized. And I'll move digging the root cellar up the "TO DO" list, to make sure it is finished this summer.
