on a fm receiver   , teste's  teste's  1 2 3

pretty sure i heard that in a movie

In the Navy, I used to request audio check when coming into port for berthing instructions.

Of course, the shore station would repeat, and ask "how do you hear me",  I always answered, "Read you loud and queer".

Sometimes they would as for repeats so much that we damn near missed our berthing.  They were never quite sure...…………………..

What did you just ask??  I didn't quite hear but to answer what I think you asked. "The Sheriff is Near"

I hounded my kids growing up, to simply try to do anything that they thought might be interesting, with the idea that they might find that "thing" that gave them the personal satisfaction in knowing they could do damn near anything, if they wanted to.  I called it independence.  I never consciously taught them the word failure.  When your efforts didn't pan out you simply had a learning experience.

You don't sound testy.

It is strange the things that stick in your memory, even after 60 years.

That was one of my favorite shows as well and I can still hear the theme and see that pixielated graphic.

Oh, and Timmy fell into a well.  Again.

I'm beginning to think that after all these years this is looking like pattern, and the dog is the common element here.  Some think the boy was pushed!

But of course.   June of 1944.  Normandy.

Lesser known is The Moon is Blue as a code for the resistance to create havoc.

One of the more curious bits of information I have is both my mother's village and my grandmother's village (two separate villages)....were liberated by Japanese American troops.

How bad is he, Doc?

He's only been wounded 37 times since season one.

I'm running out of supplies.  I'm starting to use tire plug patches now.  He's got so many holes he looks like Swiss Cheese.
