The last time, at the Alamo,  I got escorted off,  because I should'nt  have been in that spot.

Then the other cool, old guy, showed me all around.

And the Alamo Santa Clause,

that was a brief scuffle.  we don't know what his deal was.

We hated him.

I'll take your advice.  I was in one today and I think the Marine recon dude behind the counter would likely end this issue quit quickly.  He had a buddy there who was cut from the same cloth...and a deputy who was an LT in unit.

I felt safe.  I could have left my gun at home.

They think i stop by for the free coffee.  They are right partially. It has that old gun shop smell with the coffee.

Bob's?  Sounds like him and his place...

I got the email this morning that my local gun shop is closed starting today.  I think they've probably sold everything in the store, they were that busy last week.   I know they are waiting on a bunch of background checks to come thru.  (Arrangements will be made for pickups). It's time to set up the reloader for 9mm again, seeing as how everyone seems to be sold out, and all the fun places have closed (you can still buy booze out the back door of the only bar in town, but for how much longer?  Maybe another batch of mead...) and I have nothing to do except move freaking combine tires outside the 25 degree weather (yuck).  The combine tires need to go in my tire garden, have their sidewalls cut off, fill them with last years' straw bales from the straw bale garden, a lot of old horse manure, and then plant the strawberries that are arriving on Monday.  (They get covered in more old straw and plastic sheet in this cold, they'll be fine.

I'm cheering myself up drooling on the BCM barrel that arrived yesterday for my daughter's belated birthday AR.  Actually, I don't think I've ever been this jealous before in my life... none of mine are nearly that nice.

I'm pretty good for guns and ammo.  I'm short of targets...…………………………….

Don't worry. They'll be along shortly. The feds are still distributing them among us. You'll know them when you see them. Unless you haven't gotten your hands on the new Identity Scopes.

I was at Cabelas today. Reloading had really been picked over. One employee was telling a guy there that he expected some bad injuries. People who had bought guns were just buying reloading components.

No idea what they were doing. Wouldn’t buy manuals. Thought everything is on line. Some didn’t even get the correct casings to go with the gun, wrong caliber bullets also. Then bought the least expensive powder on the shelves.

No press. No dies. No scale.

Seriously, those dudes were MERICA.

They were protecting their future and how they care for the families.   Over 25 years later we still see them as great.

Wonder how many of them actually immigrated or were children of immigrants.

Either way they are ours now!  Wish we had more like them.

Darwin wins again.  They weren't prepared to begin with, and then they didn't even have sense enough to research it to get it right, now.  I'm not sympathetic to that kind of stupid.
