FRANCE is “losing its battle” against Islamic extremism, a conservative senator has warned, as it “refuses to fight” against jihadism.

So nothing new!!!!

"His scathing comments came on the fifth anniversary of the attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo by two brothers pledging allegiance to Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).

On January 7, 2015, Cherif and Said Kouachi stormed the magazine’s Paris offices and opened fire with automatic weapons, killing 12 people and wounding several others.

They then ran out into the street and were challenged by a police officer, Lieutenant Ahmet Merabet. He was shot dead.

On January 8, their accomplice Amedy Coulibaly shot dead a female police officer in the Paris suburb of Montrouge and a day later, burst into a kosher supermarket east of Paris and killed four customers. He was a member of the jihadist group Islamic State (ISIS)."

It seems that today, people see little to fight for.  They are so fat dumb  and happy by being secure through others efforts.  They forget the historical attempts to take it all away.  They say, "Not my job".  When it's everyone's job!

So hard fought for, so easily thrown away.

Yeah, our guys really paid a price for liberating France.  Maybe that's why it so easily thrown away, they didn't pay for it.

That's true also.  However, I was referring to the French Revolution around 1790.

I guess if we get into the chronology, the freedom won in their Revolution was thrown away with the surrender to the Germans.  Then the Allies won it again, only to have them throw it away again.  I guess in their defense, this time it won't be as bloody initially, only if they try to take it back, which I doubt.

It took Spain hundreds of years to kick out the Muslims.  I don't see the French government even attempting it.  They'll just keep cooperating with the invasion until France is under Sharia law, and then they'll want help getting their country back.  Again.  Which we'll end up doing to keep the rest of Europe safe...

Well to be fair:  They helped us in two wars on our land.

I think the real reason for France's issues are the massive graves from WWI.  The nation was bleed white and never recovered.  Combine that with desperate times and communism/socialism....internal problems...age old concepts of colonialism....and you end up with a nation that is losing its identity.

Real shame since the cradle of modern thinking in many ways in found in 16th century French literature.   Many of those ideals will lead to the ideals we find in our own nations founding documents.  Particularly, the concepts of individual rights.

Some French would like to doom their nation in order to build it to their standards.

Kinda like the Democrats.

France's history is far more complex than making jokes about rifles never fired and dropped only once.

They are only 30 or 40 years ahead of us.
