KBKEITH
I see Apple released 11.0.1. I noticed the battery on my iPad was not right. It would go from fully charged to 48-50% very quickly. I hope this latest update gets rid of that bug. My iPhone is fine.
KBKEITH
Update to my iPad battery problem. (Like anyone really cares) The 11.0.1 update resolved my battery issue. It’s now back to normal.
GeorgiaGlocker
I ran across this article the other day. It may help someone. https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/columnist/2017/10/01/ios-11-killed-my-battery-life-heres-how-finally-revived-and-you-can-too/721040001/
jmohme
I have not updated yet. My wife has and seems to like it. I have not heard her complain about battery life, and trust me, she would complain.
MooseJaw
I went into an Apple store, and one of the genius's said my battery needed replacing.. so he tried.. Then he said he can't, because my battery swelled.. so he gave me a new phone for the price of the battery. This has happened three times now.. I probably need a new phone. BadAndy
Fetching mail is causing heavy battery drain? How was it not a problem prior to upgrading the OS? That is absolutely ridiculous and sounds more like the OS is garbage and not worth upgrading to with older devices.

(Basically reset to default and moved the setting) So if you had left the setting at default before you saw no change in behavior. But if you had changed it, now your device was behaving differently and draining the battery faster than you expect. In my case, it was the difference between ending the day with 20% battery and 30% battery.
fortyofforty
Amazing how much love and devotion there was to Apple products, until they became mainstream. Now, Apple gets raked over the coals. LOL
