A book written in 1983 or so. Has read it about the time it was published. Found a large print copy at the local library’s book sale. Bought it. Read it.

 

Again.

 

Amazed at how little I remembered.

 

Author, upon splitting with his wife, took a 10+/- year old work van, rugged it as a basic camper, then grove 12,000 or so miles mostly on back roads. This is the story of the journey and some people and places he encountered.

I remember this book from that time, read it when it first came out. An interesting memoir. Chuckled when he referred to his skirmishes with his soon-to-be ex-wife as 'the Indian Wars'.
