I don't know about the different kinds of pigs, but this one turned out to be a 'lard' pig. They traded it to a restaurant (Renks!) for two dinners per week for a year. The owners were tickled pink and Mom and Dad loved it. I have a hard time dealing with animals when it involves hurting them, even if it is intended to help them. On the other hand, I wouldn't hesitate to do harm to someone trying to hurt another person or me. People determine their own fate but animals are too often dealt their fate by humans. I have limits! The grocery store up the street is ok for me. If I'm going to eat it someone else has to do the dirty work.
